After Jada Pinkett Smith’s tell-all memoir last year, many of us thought we knew everything we could know about Will Smith and their family. But, as a new trip of his indicates, there’s one part of Smith’s life fans knew nothing about: his unexpected friendship with Johnny Depp.
Most recently, Smith and Depp were pictured enjoying a trip (and a boat ride!) together in the south of France.
“The two men are in the south of France at the same time, as most of Europe [is] at the moment,” a source told People this week. And, according to the insider, their trip isn’t a one-time thing either. “They both share a passion for music outside of their acting careers,” the source said.
They see each other from time to time — both have busy traveling schedules, and Depp spends most of his time in the U.K.,” explained the insider.
Therefore, while they might not see each other as much as they want to, it turns out they’re quite good friends.
