Brenden Schooler’s wallet will be a little lighter after he was fined $4,861 for unnecessary roughness during the Patriots’ win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on “Thursday Night Football” in New England’s Week 14 win.
After New England returned a punt late in the second quarter, Schooler put his hands on Steelers’ Godwin Igwebuike’s facemask after the whistle. This is the first time Schooler’s been fined this season, and is the only fine the Patriots faced after Week 14

Schooler will have to quickly forget about the fine as he and the rest of the Patriots prepare to welcome the Kansas City Chiefs to Gillette Stadium for Week 15. New England will be without running back Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle), and eight players are questionable for the AFC matchup.
The Patriots have already been eliminated from the playoffs, and are essentially playing for a high pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Kickoff from Gillette Stadium is set for 1 p.m. EST.
