Who is the best quarterback in the NFL? Who is the worst quarterback in the NFL? You’ll soon find the answers to both of these questions in Sportsnaut’s NFL QB rankings.
Fans are always debating player rankings, and when it comes to the NFL, there is no position that is more hotly debated than QB. This is why we continue to maintain our annual quarterback rankings all year round.
Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen are widely viewed as two of the best players in football. While they set an elite standard for quarterback play, our 2024 NFL QB rankings capture how all 32 starting quarterbacks perform every week. Updated weekly throughout the season, who are the best NFL quarterbacks right now? Here are our top 32 NFL QB rankings. Come back and see how they change after each game.
Who’s the worst QB in the NFL? Right now, it’s Trevor Siemian. That blanket statement isn’t entirely fair, as he’s supposed to be a backup, but with how many injuries occurred in the 2023 season, it’s hard to argue any starting QB was been worse than Siemian to close out the year.
After watching Tim Boyle show everyone he wasn’t any better, the Jets turned back to Zach Wilson in Week 14. The third-year QB promptly put forth arguably the best game of his young career, passing for 301 yards and two touchdowns to help get a convincing win. But then the team’s shoddy offensive line let him down again, and Wilson had to leave with a head injury. It’s been the same story with Trevor Siemian, with a lack of explosive plays and inaccurate throws. Basically, the other Jets QBs are showing why Coach Saleh was right to stick with Wilson, even if it led to just a 4-7 record

Even if they lack a true No. 1, the cast of receivers has improved in New England, so if Mac Jones is the real deal, we should have seen it this season. The Patriots weren’t asking him to do much, opting for a lot of screens, which should tell you all you need to know about how much they trust their former first-round QB. The Patriots finally tried something else in Week 13, turning to Bailey Zappe, but it led to their second shutout this season. After more time building chemistry with his receivers, we’ve saw Zappe improve, and he actually kept the Patriots in the game against Buffalo, but three unfortunate interceptions may have also been the difference in the six-point loss. It’s time for a change at QB this offseason.
