According to a representative of the brand, it’s actually a custom-made vintage watch that was turned into a choker and the star is dripping in a total of 300 carats of Lorraine Schwartz diamonds.

While the (literally) timeless accessory was turned to the right, the watch hands seem to be fixed on midnight.

The style could be a nod to her “Midnights” album, as it earned the star six nominations tonight: album of the year and best pop vocal album, song of the year, record of the year and best pop solo performance (for “Anti-Hero”) and best pop duo/group performance (for her “Karma” remix featuring Ice Spice).

In a red carpet video, the star even appeared to ask, “Do you need to set my watch?” to which publicist Tree Paine replied, “No, it’s already perfect. Midnight.”

Several fans also theorized the time — coupled with the star’s crimson lipstick and black-and-white aesthetic — could foreshadow a “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)” announcement.

“Taylor’s necklace is a clock POINTING TO MIDNIGHT … REPUTATION TV ERA INCOMING?” one Twitter user wrote, while another speculated, “Is this another Easter egg?”

In recent months the star’s been peppering her outfits with elements of the aesthetic that defined her “Reputation” release era — from her slinky, scale-like Golden Globes gown to the snake-covered boots she stepped out in last month.

It’s hardly the first time Swift’s sported styles with hidden meaning, as she’s infamous for hinting at upcoming projects sartorially.

“Easter eggs can be left on clothing or jewelry,” she told Entertainment Weekly in 2019. “This is one of my favorite ways to do this, because you wear something that foreshadows something else, and people don’t really usually find out this one immediately,” she added. “But they know you’re probably sending a message — they’ll figure it out in time.”

As for her Grammys jewelry? It seems we’ll just have to meet her at midnight.
