Travis Kelce put in solid shift on Sunday night as the Chiefs went on to defeat the Patriots 27-17. It was all positive news until the tight end seemed to pick up an injury in the fourth quarter which he sustained after making an 11-yard catch for a first down. Despite apparent discomfort, the player managed to soldier on to finish the game.
Kelce was applauded for his performance as he made his way off the pitch. There was another display of support for the tight end that caught the attention of social media users for its surreal nature.
An unexpected interaction took place between a random fan and Travis Kelce’s mother, Donna. As always, Donna was sitting in her VIP box behind the public section. At the end of the game, she was approached personally by the fan who, after Kelce’s performance, decided to approach his mother and thank her personally.
“Thank you for having Travis Kelce,” he said before continuing to praise her son in front of her. Donna, who was described as the ‘GOAT’ by some users on X, couldn’t contain her laughter. It actually turned out to be quite a touching moment.
